The Unicus Global English Olympiad (UGEO) is an international competition exam organised by Unicus Olympiads to assess and enhance the English proficiency of students. The UGEO provides a platform for learners to show off their language skills and fosters academic excellence through challenging yet engaging questions. It is specifically designed to nurture students' understanding of fundamental concepts in English, including grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing skills. Participating in this exam encourages students to think critically and boosts their confidence to tackle future academic challenges.
The UGEO is conducted online, allowing students to participate from the comfort of their homes. The exam contains multiple-choice questions that cover various topics from Class 5 UGEO curriculum topics. UGEO topics/syllabus will be taken from the same Class in which the student is currently studying.
The exam duration is 60 minutes. Students will also get three mock tests (including a free trial) to practice before the final exam. Each mock test may be taken up to three times.
The exam is divided into two sections:
Language Section: This section will focus on evaluating students' language skills.
Reading Section: This section will assess students' reading comprehension abilities.

At this level, Class 5 students are introduced to more complex language concepts, including direct and indirect speech, tenses, parts of speech, and reading comprehension of longer passages. Through consistent practice with a variety of questions, students can deepen their understanding of these topics while improving their ability to communicate clearly and creatively. Students can begin by familiarising themselves with the syllabus and focusing on strengthening their foundational knowledge. Practicing with sample papers is essential to understand the exam pattern and time management. Additionally, solving practice questions regularly helps identify areas of improvement and boosts their confidence.
