The Unicus Mathematics Olympiad (UMO) is an international competitive exam conducted for Class 10 students. It is designed to challenge students' mathematical abilities and test their knowledge at a higher level. The UMO provides an excellent platform for Class 10 students to showcase their proficiency in several mathematics concepts while also preparing them for more advanced competitive exams in the future.
For class 10 students, the questions are structured to encourage critical thinking and a deeper understanding of mathematics and make the exam a highly recognised competition for aspiring math enthusiasts. This Olympiad is also a great way for students to build confidence as they prepare for national and international level mathematics contests.
The UMO is conducted online, allowing students to participate from the comfort of their homes. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering various Class 10 mathematics curriculum topics. The syllabus of class 10 covers the previous 2 classes passed by the student.
The exam duration is 60 minutes. Students will also get three mock tests (including a free trial) to practice before the final exam. Each mock test can be taken up to three times. The exam is divided into two sections:
Classic Section includes questions related to practical applications of Mathematics.
Scholar Section includes questions on High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS)
The Unified Mathematics Olympiad (UMO) syllabus for Class 10 is designed to test a student’s understanding of advanced mathematical concepts, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills. It covers topics that build upon the foundational knowledge students have acquired in previous classes, while also introducing more complex subjects that require deeper understanding and application. To explore the full syllabus and learn more about the topics covered, click here to learn more.
A concentrated approach is necessary to prepare for the Unicus Mathematics Olympiad (UMO) for Class 10, which assesses both fundamental knowledge and advanced problem-solving abilities. To excel in the exam, students must build a strong understanding of the core mathematical concepts while also developing their logical reasoning and analytical abilities.
For that, students should familiarize themselves first with the types of questions commonly asked in Olympiads, which often require creative thinking and a deeper application of concepts. Effective preparation includes practising a wide variety of challenging problems daily. UMO provides various preparation materials to help students get ready for the exam, including sample papers, practice questions, and study guides. These resources are designed to give students a thorough understanding of the exam pattern and the types of questions they can expect. By regular practice of sample papers, previous years' question papers and practising questions, students can combine strong conceptual understanding with regular practice and confidently prepare for the exam.
