The Unicus Non-Routine Mathematics Olympiad (UNRMO) is an international competitive exam held online for students in classes 3rd-10th (Year 2024-25). The questions in this exam are non-conventional. Hence, it will help students to strengthen their problem-solving and lateral skills. Consequently, preparing the students for real-life problem-solving. Students will be provided with three Mock Tests (inclusive of Free Trial) to practice before the Final Exam. The Mock Tests can be attempted for 3 times. The exam will be a MCQ-type test that the students need to complete in 60 minutes.
There will be 1 level in this exam. This exam is simpler than NMTC – National Mathematics Talent Contest.
Note: The fee for the exam is Rs. 225 for students residing and studying in India while $15 (INR 1200) for students residing and studying outside India.
The exam consists of two sections:
Classic Section: This section will consist of questions related to Non-Routine Mathematics
Scholar Section: This section will have questions on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills)
Students from classes 3-10 (year 2024-25) are eligible to take Unicus Olympiads. Prospectuses containing the registration forms are sent to all the schools registered with Unicus Olympiads. If your school is not registered with us, then please send an email to info@unicusolympiads.com and we will send you the prospectus. It is mandatory for schools to return the registration forms to Unicus Olympiads, duly filled in and complete in all respects, atleast one month before the Final Exam.
If your school does not conduct Olympiads, then you can register as an individual participant. The link for online registration for individual participants is here. The exam is conducted online using a laptop or desktop with a good Internet connection and webcam. It can't be taken using a mobile device. As the online mode of the exam will be proctored, access to a webcam will be compulsory for the final exam. The student will have to take the exam from home.

UNRMO follows similar syllabus and question pattern as that of other Non-Routine Mathematics exams like NMTC, PRMO, etc. To check the complete syllabus for UNRMO, visit here. It will have 20 questions for students. The syllabus will be same for Classes 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10. The medium of the exam is English.
